Today was an interesting day due to the fact that I am without a car until I fly to New Hampshire to join Abe and his family for the holidays. I now have to rely on others, the bus system and my own two legs to get around. I spent a lot of time today walking at least relatively speaking. I think I walked somewhere between one and a half miles and two miles. I also waited out in the cold for the bus for probably about 30 minutes. It was kind of nice. It gave me time to think. I wasn't rushing to be anywhere. I really can get around without a car. The whole experience reminded me of Vienna. I really wish that I didn't have to rely on a car to get anywhere in a hurry. In Vienna, it made little to no sense to own a car. In the United States, it's almost impossible to live our hurried lives without one. I'm glad that I'm forced to go without a car right now, during the harshest part of the year even if the buses don't run more than twice an hour.
