They return to bars they visited almost a decade ago and make half-hearted attempts at conversation.

Ryan smokes, silently, and watches him with an almost sneer Drew's never sure is intentional.

"How's Colin?" he asks, when he's feeling - irrationally - vindictive, and Ryan wordlessly taps ash into Drew's almost empty bottle.

"How would I know?" he replies, flatly, and Drew doesn't reply, staring almost forlornly at his beer.

"How's Wayne?" he adds, his forehead creasing in mock interest - and when Drew glances away, Ryan pushes back from the table. "Yeah. This was fun. Let's do it again sometime."
