I've had some motivation issues with jiu jitsu lately. I know part of this is not going regularly for month or two, for various reasons from the legit to the lazy. Were I maintaing that regular schedule again, I'd be doing much better with the motivation factor.
But I'm wondering if maybe switching up what nights I go might not help with this. Other ideas that have crossed my mind are getting back to using the gym in my building once a week or so in addition to jiu jitsu again. Another, trying to get to the beginner classes and put my instructor certification to good use.
Currently, I go, or try to go, every Tuesday and Thursday night. Which interestingly enough have been the nights for most regularly scheduled groups I've belonged to, from Marching Band to Chorale to CCE. Hm. Maybe I'm even more overdue for mixing up my nights than I thought! Classes are also available to me on Sunday mornings and Monday nights. I do currently have a game I'm in that runs every other Monday, but realistically there's nothing stopping me from going on Sundays beyond my own preference to usually lounge about the house. I know I won't start going *this* Sunday, but maybe in the week following, I should try to do that. And get back to adding in some workout time at work, too.
Here's hoping. I certainly don't want to drop jiu jitsu, by any means! But I need something to kick me into a higher gear again here and get me feeling more interested again.
