Nadine Lewis headed for the apartment of Harvey Dent. Well, it was his former apartment now. She had the keys and paperwork from Detective Stephens, and Gordon had mentioned sending boxes ahead. She'd taken a marker from work. If there were twenty boxes to be taken, she'd mark four to take back to her apartment. She had to deliver a fair amount to charity or questions would be asked, but a small amount missing could go unnoticed.
Without ever saying it, Gordon had given her permission to "borrow" Harvey's sedan. After all, as far as anyone else knew, he had no use for it. There'd been an agreement that she'd return the car tomorrow, as it was now the city's property... or something. Really, she didn't know what would be done with it. Of course, anything could happen to a car left parked in the street in Gotham. If it happened to be stolen during the night... Well, that wasn't her fault, now was it?
As she walked, consulting street signs and the written address, she pulled out her prepaid cellphone and selected a number. She needed someone to talk to, and she didn't dare call Harvey. He might not feel up to talking anyway. Of course, she knew Jonathan might still be busy, but he wouldn't answer his phone if he was. Wouldn't hurt to try, though.
