(Wrath is outside of the forest, staring at the Dreamberry, which reveals the scores of dead animals. Any potential game lie dead, which irritates him.)
This damned currency system. I have not eaten anything since I have arrived here. Nor is trapping an option.
(Wrath widens his right eye in surprise as he glimpses a horse-like chimera come onto the screen, and speak to him. More so, it speaks to him with authority. Now this is puzzling.)
What, is this your forest? (He goes on without waiting for an answer.) How exactly would you stop me, hm? (His tone is once again, irate, slightly condescending considering that he is talking to what he thinks is a chimera.)
(Wrath notes the color of the chimera's eyes, purple--like his siblings. The horn glows--the chimera must have been enhanced somehow, but this does not disturb him. In fact, his condescension heightens.
Threatening me over a Dreamberry. You may be intelligent but it is foolish of you to think that you can gore me through this device.
(All the while, Wrath is walking, impetuous lifeform that he is, into the forest, stepping over the dead animals, finding one that has died recently. He clasps his hand around the carcass and lifts it up.)
[Unicorn is atop a small hill, the forest is for her to protect. She will not have the animals treated so. She raises up on her hind legs and whinnies before running to attack Wrath, her horn glowing brightly.]
(Wrath spies the chimera on the hill adjoining the forest. He senses indignation from the beast. interesting. Hearing it whinny, charging at him with its bright horn aimed at his body, he drops the carcass that he was holding and draws his sword, incensed. He is positioned to strike as the chimera charges down the hill.)
(Wrath's eyebrow arches coldly.) All of these animals are dead. You cannot protect them now. Their only possible use is nourishment. (He is bewildered that the chimera has not struck him yet, and that enrages him, so he provokes the chimera.) If you want to protect their 'honor' or 'sacrality', as foolish as that is, then strike me down. Or I will. (He brandishes his sword, raising the steel point at the chimera's horned head.)

(ooc: LOL, congratulations on scoring the first hit on Wrath in Somarium! XD)
(THWACK. The rock careens into Wrath's wrist, opening up his hand which convulses slightly from the impact and, tearing from him a grunt, causing him to drop his sword. A dark bruise forms on Wrath's skin as the rock bounces off his wrist and lands on the forest floor. Instead of grabbing where the spot where the hit landed, Wrath, his head now locked in the newcomer's direction, shoots down to pick up the sword with his other hand and regains control of it before the blade hits the ground. The male enemy has succeeded in diverting attention away from the chimera. She is safe. But it is no longer the case for the newcomer. Wrath furiously charges with lightning speed towards the enemy that had thrown the rock, aiming for a thrust at the enemy's chest.)
[She will not have this creature attack the magician! She suddenly runs in front of him and her horn is glowing bright. She whinnies, her hooves kicking and she strikes at the sword and his hand.]
{Wrath does not expect the chimera to defend the man, and is caught off guard when the chimera interposes herself between him and his target. Wrath hears the chimera whinny, and then he feels the impact of the chimera's hooves bash first into his sword, which is thrown off-target, and then into his hand. Wrath growls at the force of the hit. The hooves have broken the skin and blood seeps from a gash in his sword hand. Wrath lunges sideways to avoid getting either gored, or kicked further, and he lands diagonally from the rock-thrower. The blow dealt by the chimera had drawn blood but was nowhere near enough to slow the Homunculus down. At this point he again turns on the chimera, slashing at the beast's kicking legs.)
[Fay was thinking he's have time for a smartass remark or something, but clearly not! This guy was serious and now Fay's not pleased. And ... very afraid for Unicorn suddenly.]
Milady! Do not worry about me! Please get away, go somewhere safe!
[He pulls his bo staff from the straps of his pack and then throws the pack aside.]
[She had dealt with men and their swords before, as old as she was. As the sword came at her she blocked it with her glowing horn. It could melt metal when she desired.]
Re: [Action, Final Edit]candidate_no_12January 18 2011, 22:11:46 UTC
(The chimera was fast enough to block her limbs from getting severed by Wrath's blade--the Homunculus has no idea how potent the horn's power is, all he knows is that it is glowing and she escaped damage. She orders him to leave, but Wrath does not heed her. Wrath is about to circle around the horn to get to the chimera's flank. but the threat behind him distracts him from initiating that next move: Wrath turns his head, knowing there is now an armed combatant in his blind spot. He about-faces and storms towards the man armed with the staff, burrowing a ditch in the earth as he runs. The gash on Wrath's hand has not healed but it doesn't slow him down, so consumed with fury.)
