So without using a recipe, I made chowder, and it was goooooood. so, here's how to make it!
Nick's easy to make clam CHOWDA!
1 1/2 cups table cream, or anything lighter if you're being health conscious.
1 can, clams undrained.
1 medium white or yellow onion.
i clove of carlic, crushed.
1 tbsp margarine or butter.
1 tsp flour (more if you use a lighter cream or milk).
1/4 cup rice.
1 tsp dried or fresh parsley.
salt/pepper to taste.
use low heat the entire time, do not go past halfway on the stove. chop the onion and add it to pan, with garlic and butter. allow the onion to become see-through, and add the juice from the clams, but not the clams. add flour and stir mixture until it boils. Add rice, clams and cream. keep stirring for 10-15 minutes, add salt, pepper and parsley.
then, make a little garlic bread and enjoy.
makes enough for 2.
it's good.
