Drug music

Today in third hour, we had to go look at a quilt that was made by all the clubs at my school. After thinking about it for a while, I decided that I'd like to start a club for fans of electronic music. But the more I thought about it, I realized there would be a many problems with such a club

The first problem is that the chance of people actually joining is very slim. I only know two people who like IDM, and I really doubt they care enough to want to join. I thought about opening it up a bit more. Including music like chill-out or industrial. But there's problems with that, too! The majority of chill-out fans are complete potheads, and most people's idea of industrial is Mindless Self Indulgence. And then there are people who think electronica is the club remix of the new Justin Timberlake song that they heard on the radio a few days ago

I'd also have to find a teacher to sponsor us. As far as I know, there are no teachers at my school who even know what electronica is. Most of the teachers are over 40, and most young people hate anything with a keyboard in it.

The only thing that we would do at meetings is sit around listening to CDs and just hang out. That doesn't sound bad to me at all, but are you allowd to make a club out of that?

I still worried about the MSI fans coming to the meetings and screaming "OMG JIMMY URINE IS SOOO HAWT. I WISH HE WOULD PISS ALL OVER ME"

I'm assuming there are at least 30 people at my school who dig good electronc music. Being the optimist that I am, I'm guess that 1/3 of them would be interested in this club. But how do I reach out to them?

My school has a weekly school-wide television program that they show every Friday during fourth period. They show six main things:
1) news about the school
2) sports
3) crap about skateboarding
4) crap about bad movies and concerts
6) teh funneh
I'm on pretty good terms with the TV Production teacher. If I do start this club, I can ask him if I can show like a 30 second commercial for the club. I'm not exactly sure what it would say, but my idea is this:
Guy: "Hey Sofie, you like electronic music?"
Girl: "Hell yes, I like electronic music!"
Voice: "If you like electronica or any of its sub-genres, stop by Where Ever and talk to Who Ever about joining the Electronic Music Club"

Simple, but it gets the point across

Who the fuck am I kidding? This is destined to fail miserably
