Nothing like being able to sit down quietly with my pencils , erasers , pens and sketchbook and letting the ideas in my head flow out onto the page. There's also a wonderful feeling when you take an old pencil sketch that is screaming for attention and finally dust it off and start working on completing the image as the sketch deserves. So Thrusday evening I sat down with my stuff and did the very things I just described...
And nice thick lines make said heads stand out more :D! Now this just needs some colour and I'm set set set!
As stated before , it's also nice to work on older artwork...
Now the
pencil sketch for this back in August of last year. The pencil sketch has been sitting on my pc ever since then and I want to finish all the sketches and cg art on the computer and clear everything off so this was the first one I picked up. Also for this picture , I did a little practicing on my pen inking skils(you know varying the line widths to make the picture have more "depth" and stuff). Also I did something a little different with the colouring. I limited myself to shades of brown (and some orange/yellows here and there) to give the picture the look of those old school , sepia photos. And this is what I have so far(decided to not post this in link form):
Hooray for watermarks*points to the little copyright thing*!
And that is all the art for the time being , I'm sure I'll finish these up soon.
