In my never ending quest to improve artistically , a few days ago I opened up ol' photoshop and tried my hand at inking with the pen tool(aka Bezier curves) and well , not only is this am exercise in extreme patience(took me 3.5 days to complete) but it's also very tricky if you have no idea what's you're doing. That being said , onto the screenshot...
The finished product is really something too(I really need to take a screen shot and show it off. And note to self: STOP USING "STIMULATE PRESSURE" ON EVERY DAMN THING @___@! And compare it to the kind of things I've
inked with my pigmentliner pens.
I can say from that experience that I really need to purchase the latest version of Corel Painter. But the thing is I have a little
dilemma. So I'm going to ask any of you art students out there , know where I can get painter at a cheaper price or any easier way of inking in photoshop :D?
Of course , once a picture has been outlined in some sort of ink , it must be coloured or made pretty in some shape or form...sooooooo...
Slight variation in the colouring. I purposely drew in a nose for this chibi so that I'd have to shade it and add a little , sparkly bit of light that you see on noses depending on the angle...all part of my plan to make*drumroll* SEMI-REALISTIC LOOKING ANIME CHARACTERS!!! Hopefully it's coming out well. Painting the glasses and eyes was fun. Oh and the lips too!
But pictures do not just consist of heads , they also have...
I'm almost tempted to shade parts of the sweater over again DX. Why am I such a perfectionish , why God whyyyyyyy?!? I'm hellbent to finish and post this tomorrow :P!
On a side note , thanks
revulo thanks for the tip for working with large images , it really helps! And that's all from me for now!
