WOW
I went and saw The Passion last night. I was a little apprehensive going into it because I didn't know what to expect and I don't think I ever could have expected what I saw. If you think it's going to be like a church Easter Pageant you're way off, as was I. I knew that the scourging and other scenes like that were supposed to be graphic, but had to idea as to what extent. I can honestly say I have a whole new insight into exactly what Christ did for me that day. The suffering He went through for me. How He was broken for me.
Lord, I pray that You would break me. Tear away the desires of my flesh and mold me into the image of Your Holy Son.
I strongly recommend this movie for anyone, but advise you not to go into it lightly. Be prepared for what you will see and pray that the Lord will work in your heart as He shows you His heart; the love that He has for us that was poured out at Calvary.
