Chapter Four - Jealous? Me? Never.
Ryo's POV
Dear Sexy Osakan Journal,
I'm unexplainably PISSED.
Jin skipped into the lounge of the NEWS floor today with a huge grin on his face.
"Good morning Ryo-chan!" he exclaimed.
"Good morning Jin," I replied, smiling. I sure do that I lot these days. "So what do you have planned for us today?"
"Actually," he began, sounding apologetic, "Tat-chan and I were hanging out today."
He motioned towards the door and I looked to see Ueda Tatsuya. He gave me a nod and I returned it.
And people think I hate the guy. Hehe.
"I just came to say hello before we left," Jin explained. "But now we have to go. I want to get in six full hours of shopping!"
"Good luck, Tatsuya," I said as the two left.
"Thanks," Tatsuya said, laughing.
I turned back to my magazine, feeling a scowl form on my face. A few minutes later, Yamapi came into the room.
"What's wrong, Ryo-chan?" he asked.
"Nothing," I muttered.
"Liar," Pi replied. "Tell me."
"It's nothing, Pi," I replied. "Drop it okay?"
"Fine," Yamapi replied. "So where's Jin?"
"With Tatsuya," I replied, and Pi giggled.
"What?" I asked.
"It was the way you said 'Tatsuya'," he said. "You sounded so irritated."
"Well I'm not," I replied, quickly.
"Not even an eensy bit?" Yamapi replied.
I sighed and put the magazine down.
"Fine," I said. "You wanna know the truth? I'm pissed off. He chose to hang with the pretty boy instead of me! I'm a much better shopping partner than him! I feel so irritated!"
"No Ryo-chan, that's called jealousy," Pi replied, smiling.
I blinked.
"What?"
"You see Ryo-chan," Pi began, as if teaching a lesson to a Kindergarten class. "Jealousy is when people get mad at other people because those people have something they want."
"I see," I replied, rolling my eyes. "And what exactly does the pretty boy have that I want?"
"That's easy," Pi replied, his grin now reaching his ears. "Akanishi Jin."
I felt like an anvil had been dropped on me by Yamapi the Road Runner.
"J-Jin?" I voiced. "That's ridiculous Pi. Ridiculous."
"Is it?" Pi replied, still grinning. "I don't think so. Admit it Ryo-chan, you're falling for Jin-Jin."
I stayed quiet. Was Pi right? Was I really falling in love with Jin?
I began to reflect on the week, and how I felt when I was with him. I could never stop smiling, even when I was thoroughly annoyed with him. With Jin, time seem to distort itself, being slow at one point and flying past the next. And when he wasn't there, I felt angry and confused. And now, the pretty boy was with my Jin, and I was pissed.
Oh my God. Did I just say 'my' Jin?
Journal, I have come to conclusion that I've got it bad.
I sighed. Pi laughed.
"Ryo-chan and Jin-Jin sittin' in a tree -" he sang.
" - finish that and I'll strangle you," I growled.
"Sorry," Pi replied, laughing. "So, do you really love Jin?"
"I think so," I replied. "But how do I find out how Jin feels?"
"Well, there's one way to go about it," Pi told me.
"How?"
Pi whispered the idea in my ear. I blinked.
"I'd never thought I'd say this," I told him. "But Pi, you're a genius."
"That's what happens when you're dating a law student," Pi replied, grinning.
