Summary: Jun Jin's not happy with Shinhwa's new diet.
'Diet', is a word that Shinhwa hasn't been familiar with since they were teenagers, and Jun Jin can't help but grit his teeth at the fact that his vocabulary and his stomach have to be re-introduced to it at the age of thirty three. He sits on the practice room floor and opens the box containing his lunch for the day, a small, flavorless piece of chicken and a handful of raw vegetables that are difficult for him to chew. He finishes the 'meal' in minutes, and as he glares at his empty lunch box his stomach lets out a long, low growl.
"There's nothing I can do for you, buddy," he says, frowning. "You're just gonna have to deal with it until dinner."
Minwoo snorts and then goes back to eating his celery, crunching loudly with each bite, which causes Jun Jin to jab him in the shoulder. Minwoo yelps in response and the younger man laughs and turns his attention back to his empty lunch tray, picturing it being filled with mounds of fried chicken, breaded pork cutlets, grilled marinated beef, sautéed carrots, broccoli, mushrooms, and a large portion of steamed rice to top it off. He sighs and returns to reality as his stomach rumbles once more.
A couple of pieces of beef plop into Jun Jin's lunchbox, and he looks up to see Hyesung giving him a smile before the older man goes back to eating his lunch. Hyesung's meal, while decently sized in the hopes that he would build up muscle, isn't much larger than Jun Jin's was, and Jun Jin notices that Hyesung's generosity has resulted in him being left with less than a third of his food.
"You eat it, hyung," Jun Jin says returning the food, then adding when Hyesung frowns, "I'll be fine. I'll just go drink some water."
"I tried that," Andy practically sings from his position across the room in Eric's lap. "It didn't work."
Jun Jin sprawls out on the carpet, kicks his legs in the air and lets out a loud groan, then slowly retracts himself into a ball.
"I'm going to die," he mutters into the carpet and Dongwan gives him a soft pat on the head.
There's the sound of something sliding across the carpet, and Jun Jin tilts his head to his left to see his lunchbox next to him. He props himself up on his elbows and peers inside to see three pieces of beef and six assorted vegetables. Knowing where they came from, he turns his head and opens his mouth to refuse once more, but he sees Hyesung's face complete with narrowed eyes and a set jaw, and he decides that it's better to keep his mouth shut. He slides next to Hyesung and gives him a kiss on the cheek, then digs in.
