Yesung is lying on his bed, his hands preoccupied as they play catch with a small black box. He hopes that the engagement ring inside will be on his girlfriend's finger by tomorrow. The next time he tosses the box up, another hand catches it before he has the chance to. He blinks and sits up to see Kangin.
"When did you get in here?" he asks as he reaches for the box.
"I've been standing in front of you for a full minute," he replies, dodging Yesung's hand, "What's in here?"
"Don't look at- Ugh…"
Kangin stares at the diamond ring for a few seconds and then looks at Yesung.
"When?" he asks.
"Tomorrow," Yesung replies. He might as well tell him. It'll save Kangin from using other methods to make him talk.
"Where?"
"The beach at the boardwalk."
"What time?"
"Probably later in the evening, definitely when it's dark."
"Good luck," Kangin says, handing the ring box back to Yesung.
"Thank you. But Kangin, you can't tell anyone."
"I won't."
"Promise me. Not. A. Soul."
"I promise. Now come eat dinner."
Yesung sits the ring on his dresser and follows Kangin out of the room.
I hope he keeps his mouth shut, he thinks.

But of course it's Kangin. And Kangin can't pass up an opportunity to snitch. So when Eeteuk walks into Yesung and Ryeowook's room that evening and requests to speak to the older man alone, Yesung grows suspicious.
"Yesungie, is there something you wish to tell me?"
Yesung tries his best to look clueless.
"Not really, hyung."
"Because you know you can tell me anything," Eeteuk says as he sits down on the bed next to him. Clearly “Not really, hyung” wasn't the answer he was looking for. "Like if you're sick, or proposing to your girlfriend, or having problems at home, or proposing to your girlfriend, or if you just want to relieve some stress or if you're proposing to your girlfriend or-"
"Hyung, I'm proposing to my girlfriend," Yesung says with a sigh. "Damn it, Kangin…"
"I would have rather heard it from you," Eeteuk says, frowning slightly.
"I'm sorry. I was going to tell you only if she said yes. I didn't want anyone to know until then. Kangin found out by accident."
"What are you so worried about?" Eeteuk asks, amused. "From what I can tell Jinkyong loves you. She'll say yes. I know it."
Yesung smiles.
"I hope so."
Eeteuk pats Yesung on the back and stands up.
"Good night, Jongwoon."
"Goodnight…hey hyung?"
"Hmm?"
"You won't tell anyone, right?"
Eeteuk smiles.
"I won't say a word," he says and Yesung grins.
"Thanks."
Eeteuk nods and leaves the room. When he enters his own room, he sends a text message to the other eleven members.
Code white. We tail Yesung tomorrow.
Ten seconds later, he receives eleven new messages:
Heechul: Yesung…I don't believe you. But of course I'm coming.
Hankyung: Is this really okay?
Kangin: Al-right hyung! I knew snitching would pay off!
Shindong: This will be interesting…
Sungmin: I hope this works.
Eunhyuk: I hope we don't get caught.
Donghae: Sounds like fun!
Siwon: Hyung, this sounds a bit too deceitful.
Ryeowook: I don't know about this…
Kibum: Stalking Yesung-hyung? I'm in.
Kyuhyun: This sounds like a bad idea.
Eeteuk smiles.
"I love our family," he says.

The next afternoon, Super Junior puts “Operation: Stalk Yesung” into action.
"Do you see them, Kyu?" Sungmin asks. He, Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and Kibum were currently hiding behind a sales cart.
"Yeah," Kyuhyun replies, looking through a pair of binoculars. "It looks like they're going inside a restaurant."
"Ryeowook, text Kangin and Heechul and let them know we found them. …Ryeowook?"
"This is really cute!" Ryeowook exclaims as he holds up a blue and green armband.
"I'll text him," Kibum says, taking out his cell phone. "Ryeowook, we're supposed to be watching Yesung, not going shopping."
"Right," Ryeowook replies reluctantly as he puts back the armband.
When no one's looking, he purchases it.

"We haven't been here in a while," Jinkyong says as they sit down at a table.
"Almost three years," Yesung replies.
In Yesung's opinion, it feels like more than that, due to the fact that he only sees her three or four times a year. And despite the lack of meetings between the two of them, Jinkyong still stayed. Every text message and instant message conversation is important to him and makes him appreciate and love her even more.
"Jongwoon?"
Yesung blinks.
"Huh?"
"The waiter should be back soon. Do you know what you're going to order?"
"You're the food expert," Yesung replies with a smile. "I'll just have whatever you're having."

"They're so cute together!" Ryeowook exclaims as he watches Jinkyong and Yesung through one of the lens of the binoculars. "And Yesung looks so happy!"
"Just think," Sungmin says as he looks though the other lens. "In a few hours, we'll have a sister!"
"We should ask Siwon to pray for her health," Kibum replies, smiling. Kyuhyun laughs and nods in agreement.

An hour and thirty minutes later, Heechul gets a call from Sungmin saying that Yesung and Jinkyong are headed in his direction.
"Honestly, how long does it takes to propose to a person?" he says to Siwon and Hankyung. "We've been here for two hours already!"
"You're so impatient," Siwon says with a grin. "Today is a special day for Yesung. He should be able to do it when he feels the time is right. Wouldn't you want to do it that way?"
"My proposal will be much simpler," Heechul replies, "Hey you, marry me. She'll say yes and then we shall live happily ever after in our big ass mansion."
Hankyung chuckles and turns his attention back to the boardwalk. He smiles as he sees Yesung and Jinkyong holding hands.
"They're here," he says and Siwon and Heechul look at where Hankyung is staring.
"It looks like they're stopping in front of a sales cart," Heechul says. "Oh sunglasses, she's got style. I approve."

Jinkyong holds up two pairs of sunglasses, one with black frames and the second with purple ones.
"What do you think?"she asks.
"The black ones," Yesung says as he gently takes them from her and slides them on her face. "Yep, those look cute."
"I'll get those then," she says.
Yesung keeps searching the cart for a pair of his own. He smiles as he puts a pair on his face.
"Jinkyong, what about these?"
Jinkyong turns and laughs out loud as she sees the frog print sunglasses.
"How about a “No~”?" she says and Yesung pretends to pout.
"She just saved him from embarrassment," Heechul comments as he watches Yesung put the glasses back. "Now I really like her."
"Never mind the fact that she's a good person," Hankyung comments and Siwon laughs.
Heechul sighs.
"I suppose she's got that going for her too," he says.
"Hey they're moving farther down the boardwalk," Siwon says. "We should let Shindong know."
"I'm on it," Hankyung replies.

"Hankyung says that JongKyong are coming this way," Shindong says as he closes his phone.
"JongKyong? We should put that on the wedding invite," Donghae says, looking toward the boardwalk. "Hey, they are!"
"Aww, how cute, they're going into a photo booth!" Eunhyuk exclaims.

"Which background should we use?" Yesung asks.
"This one," Jinkyong replies, pushing the button for the red rose bordered background.
Yesung pulls her on his lap in time for the first flash to go off. In the middle of taking the second picture (Jinkyong pinches Yesung's cheeks), Yesung slides an arm around her waist. The third picture is Jinkyong's reaction to the surprise pinch Yesung gives her. Consequently, the fourth is Jinkyong punching him in the shoulder.
And the fifth of Yesung planting a surprise kiss on her mouth.

Shindong smiles as he sees Jinkyong's blush when she and Yesung exit the photo booth.
"I wonder what happened in there," Donghae says, laughing.
"They're moving again," Shindong says. "I'll call Teukie-hyung and let him know."

"They're coming this way? Okay, we'll keep an eye out. You guys all start making your way down here!"
Eeteuk closes the phone and smiles.
"Kangin, they're almost here!" he exclaims, excitedly.
"Calm down," Kangin says, rolling his eyes. "It's not like you haven't seen them before."
"But they're going to be acting couple-ish!" Eeteuk says. "I have to make sure Jinkyong's feelings for my son are real!"
Kangin shakes his head.
"Here they come! Aww, they look so adorable!"

"Oh my gosh they have cake batter ice cream!" Jinkyong exclaims. "No one has this stuff!"
"You want to get a cone?" Yesung asks, smiling at how wide her eyes are.
"Of course!"
Yesung pays for the cone and wraps in a napkin before handing it to Jinkyong.
"Thanks. Mmm, this is good! Try some."
She holds up the cone to Yesung who takes a small lick.
"This is pretty good," he says, taking another lick. Jinkyong laughs.
"What?" Yesung asks, confused.
"There's ice cream on your nose," she says. She unwraps the napkin from her cone and wipes the cream off. "How was that even possible?"
Yesung shrugs sheepishly.

"Well, Mama Teuk, what's your verdict?"
Eeteuk smiles brightly.
"She passes the test," he says.
"Good," Kangin says. "Because I think she's about to become your daughter."
"You mean he's about to…are you sure?!"
"He's looking a little antsy, he keeps fumbling around in his pocket. And he's leading her toward the beach, that's where I'd do it."
"OH MY GOD, TEXT THE MEMBERS! HURRY!"
"Hyung, just sit down and try not to have a heart attack. I'll handle this."

Yesung looks up at the sky. It's dark out. Show time. He reaches into his pocket and closes his fist around the ring box.
"Jinkyong, there's something I want to ask you."
Jinkyong feels his hand shiver in hers and she looks at him in concern.
"What's wrong?" she asks.
"Nothing," Yesung says quickly. "Just follow me."
Jinkyong nods and merely follows as Yesung weaves his way through the crowd and towards the end of the boardwalk.

Kangin and Eeteuk are relieved to see the other members running toward them.
"Did we make it?" Ryeowook asks and Kangin nods.
"They just got here a few seconds before we did," he replies, pointing to the entrance to the beach area. Yesung and Jinkyong were sitting on the wooden fence.
"Spread out. Get close but make sure they don't see you," Eeteuk instructs. "Come out of hiding after she says 'yes'."
The members space themselves out behind a nearby vending machine and a large sales cart.
"Quit pushing!" Sungmin exclaims.
"If we get caught, I'm haul-assing off of this boardwalk," Heechul mutters.
"Take me with you," Kyuhyun replies.
"Shh!" Ryeowook hisses. "Yesung's saying something!"

Yesung continues to keep his fist glued around the box in his pocket. He clears his throat.
"Jinkyong, do you remember the last time we were here?"
Jinkyong nods.
"We were still going on dates back then," she says smiling. "Being with you was still awkward for me, but you did a lot to try to end that. We looked around the sales carts, took some pictures in the photo booth, and split a funnel cake. Eventually we ended up on this fence. You said to me 'Jinkyong, I really like you. I want to protect you. Will you be my girlfriend?'. That was almost three years ago."
"And honestly, how would you say these past years have been?"
"Honestly? It's been weird. You're the first guy I've dated over a webcam."
Yesung laughs.
"But really, it's been tough. There were times where I felt the gap in our relationship because we barely got to see each other. I miss you a lot when you're at work."
"But you never quit," Yesung says quietly.
"I didn't want to," Jinkyong replies. "I felt like you were someone I need to hold on to. Jongwoon you make me happy. And even through the strain I remember that. I laugh with you, I cry with you, I feel good with you and that's why I stay. I love you."
Yesung smiles.
"That's what I needed to hear," he says.
"Huh?" Jinkyong asks blinking.
Yesung hops off of the fence and kneels down on one knee in front of her. Jinkyong puts a hand to her mouth.
"Jongwoon…"
"To be honest, I thought I was going to chicken out," Yesung says sheepishly. "But you made me feel much better just now."
Jinkyong feels her eyes start to water.
"Jinkyong, I love you too," he says clearly. "I want to always see you smile and comfort you when you cry."
Yesung finally pulls the box out of his pocket and opens it, exposing the diamond ring.
"Lee Jinkyong, will you marry me?"
Jinkyong's tears are now freely flowing down her face.
"Y-yes," she manages to breath out and Yesung slides the ring on her finger. She throws her arms around him as he gets to his feet.
"I told you she'd say yes!"
Jinkyong and Yesung break apart to see the members of Super Junior standing there, all grinning.
"Hyung, I thought we had an agreement!" Yesung exclaims, embarrassed.
Eeteuk laughs and shows Yesung the cell phone.
"Texting doesn't require talking," he says and Yesung grins.
"I should've known you'd find a loophole," he says.
"Congratulations, you two!" Donghae exclaims and seconds later, the members of Super Junior are all cheering, clapping, and hugging Yesung and Jinkyong. Eeteuk smiles when he reaches her.
"Welcome to the family, Jinkyong," he says, hugging her tightly.
"Thank you," she replies, beaming.

As the fourteen sit in the sand, Jinkyong, Yesung, and Eeteuk begin to chat about the plans for the wedding.
"All of you have to be in the wedding," Jinkyong says and Eeteuk beams. "And give me the names of your girlfriends so they can be in it too. And Jongwoon, what do you think about yellow for the bridesmaids' dresses?"
"Yellow's fine," Yesung replies grinning.
"Enough of the boring details," Heechul says rolling his eyes. "Let's talk about the reception! I suggest that I be in charge of alcohol."
"Bad idea," Eeteuk says and Heechul rolls his eyes. "Anyway, we should have your reception in a large area, like at a hotel."
"That's a fantastic idea!" Jinkyong exclaims. "We can put the buffet table on one side of the room -"
"- and the stereo system can go on the other side of the room!" Ryeowook finishes and Jinkyong nods in agreement.
"But…where will the presents go?" Yesung asks and Eeteuk plucks his forehead.
"It's a wedding, why are you worrying about presents?" he asks and Jinkyong laughs.
"I say you eliminate presents altogether," Kibum says. "I love you both, but money's a little tight right now."
"I'm sure that E.L.F will buy you both plenty of presents," Hankyung says to Yesung and Jinkyong reassuringly.
A silence falls over the group as Hankyung's words sink in. Yesung grips Jinkyong's hand.
"E.L.F." Eeteuk murmurs. "What are we going to do about E.L.F.?!"
"Beg for mercy?" Eunhyuk suggests.
"There's another option," Kibum replies, "protective custody. I called the police. They'll be guards in front of Jinkyong's house for the next year."
There was a collective sigh of relief.
