Note: HAPPY NEW YEAR LIVEJOURNAL USERS!

I was listening to Jazmin Sullivan's 'Bust Your Windows' (if you haven't heard it, listen to it while you read) and I suddenly had a mental picture of Takaki breaking glass. So here goes my attempt at an angst fic!

~*~Bust Your Windows ~*~

It was midnight. The streetlights dimly lit the neighborhood as Takaki pulled up in front of the apartment building. He got out of the car, rushed up the stairs and into the building, got into the elevator and headed up to the penthouse. He quickly slid the key into the lock and went inside. All of the lights were shut off. The other key was gone. Takaki smiled bitterly. He wasn't there. He knew he wouldn't be.

"Well," Takaki whispered. "At least he won't hear the noise."

He headed back out of building, into the parking lot, opened the trunk of his car, and pulled out a black duffel bag, sitting it on top of the trunk and unzipping it. He took out a crow bar and twirled it around in his fingers as if it were a baton as he walked around the parking lot, trying to locate his boyfriend's car.

Well, as of tonight, his ex-boyfriend.

He found the red sports car sitting in the back of the parking lot and he circled the car, dragging the crow bar along the paint, smiling as he heard a screech as the paint chipped. He then took the crow bar and stabbed the window on the passenger's side, smiling at the hole he just made and the glass that fell onto the leather interior. He pulled out the crow bar and smiled wider. That felt good.

~flashback~

"Don't forget to call me when you get there."

Takaki turned to look at his boyfriend and smiled.

"I won't."

"Have a safe trip," he replied, embracing Takaki, and he regretted having to leave his arms.

"I will."

"I love you."

Takaki smiled as he reluctantly pulled away.

"I love you too," he replied.

~end flashback~

"You said it, but did you ever mean it?" Takaki whispered. "I doubt it."

Takaki smashed the window on the driver's side and proceeded to smash the two back windows.

~flashback~

Takaki quietly unlocked the door to the penthouse and tiptoed inside, not wanting to wake his boyfriend. He wanted to surprise him by letting him wake up the next morning to find that he had come back a day early. He quietly opened the door to their bedroom, expecting to find his boyfriend fast asleep.

He was. But what he wasn't expecting was to find someone there with him.

Takaki felt his body become heavy as he saw another man sleeping peacefully against his boyfriend's chest. He quietly left the penthouse and called a taxi to take him to Inoo's apartment building, still in shock.

Somehow, he managed to make it Inoo's room and knocked on the door. Inoo answered it and smiled.

"Hi!" he exclaimed. "Dai-chan, Hikaru, and Kota are here. We would've invited you but we thought that you would be with . . . Yuya are you okay?"

Takaki had silently begun to cry.

"No," he said, his voice cracking and Inoo pulled him a hug, letting him sob.

"Yuya," he whispered, leading him into the living room and Yabu, Hikaru, and Daiki were instantly by his side. "What happened?"

"He . . ." Takaki whispered. "He was with someone else. They were in our bed."

"Oh Yuya," Inoo whispered, hugging him tighter.

"I'm really stupid aren't I?" Takaki said sniffling. "I trusted him. I believed every word he told me. I'm such a dumbass."

"No Yuya, you're not," Yabu told him. "You were honest and you expected honesty in return, like everyone does."

"If anyone's stupid, it's him," Hikaru added.

"They're right," Daiki finished.

Takaki wiped his eyes and looked at them.

"Thank guys," he said quietly.

"You're welcome," they replied.

"What are you going to do?" Yabu asked.

"Break up with him of course," Daiki replied.

"I know that," Yabu said, plucking Daiki's forehead. "But how will he do it? Are you going to confront him or use a phone or -?"

"- I'll think about that when I can think straight," Takaki replied quietly. "Right now I wanna throw him out one of the penthouse windows."

"I vote for that too," Hikaru said and Takaki smiled.

"Don't encourage him," Inoo said quickly. "I vote that Yuya needs to get a good night's sleep here with us. That always makes me feel better."

"Agreed," Daiki replied. "We can think about paying back the scumbag tomorrow."

Yabu took a blanket out of the linen closet and draped it over Takaki, who smiled gratefully.

"Thanks guys," he said.

"Don't mention it," they replied.

The five slept on the couch. Takaki was on the edge with Inoo sleeping against his shoulder and Daiki in his lap. Yabu was lying on the other side of the couch and Hikaru snuggled against his body. Takaki felt calm for a few minutes and soon he fell asleep.

His dreams were anything but peaceful. In them, he was in a taxi cab that was following a red sports car. The sports car stopped in front of a love hotel and out stepped his boyfriend, and another man Takaki recognized. The two joined hands and went inside.

Takaki woke up the next morning in a cold sweat. He sighed. Sleeping with his best friends didn't help. He still was miserable. He wanted his boyfriend to feel the same. And the only way to do that was to tear apart what mattered to him the most.

Takaki smiled. He had a shopping trip to make.

~*~

It was eleven thirty at night, and Takaki was about to leave Hikaru and Yabu's apartment. He had left a note telling him that he would be staying at a motel that night. He opened the front door to see that Hikaru had just pulled the key out of his pocket.

"Are you about to go?" Hikaru asked and Takaki nodded.

"You know you don't have to," Yabu told him. "We don't mind you staying here."

"I won't be back until much later, so it's best if I just stay somewhere else so I don't disturb you," Takaki replied. "Thanks though."

"What's with the bag?" Hikaru asked as he eyed the black duffel bag Takaki had over his shoulder.

"It's just my clothes for tomorrow," Takaki replied casually. "Well I'll call you guys tomorrow afternoon."

Takaki made to step away but Yabu grabbed the duffel bag.

"Open it," he said calmly and Takaki sighed and unzipped the bag.

"Let's see," Hikaru said, looking inside. "A crow bar, black spray paint, a nail, and some black paint and a paintbrush. Looks to me like you're about to wreck the shit out of someone's car."

Takaki blushed slightly.

"Are you gonna stop me?" he asked.

"Are we gonna stop him, Kota?" Hikaru asked Yabu, who shook his head.

"Personally," he began. "We'd like to help."

"Definitely."

"But," Yabu continued. "This is something you have to do on your own."

"Mr. High and Noble," Hikaru muttered as Yabu pushed him into the apartment. "Yuya deflate the tires for me!"

Takaki laughed and exited the apartment building.

~end flashback~

Takaki smiled and punctured the tires, saying "for you, Hika."

Takaki stood back and admired his handiwork. All four windows were smashed, all four tires deflated and the side mirrors were scratched up completely. The only things left were the windshields. Takaki took a swing at the windshield and made a dent in it. It made him even more frustrated than he couldn't break it and so he began to reflect on the reason he was standing there to become even angrier.

And everything came into his head. All of the arguments he and his boyfriend had, all of the signs he chose to ignore, all of the times he was lied to . . . all of the times he cried.

I love you, Yuya.

"Bullshit," Takaki whispered.

Believe me.

"I did," Takaki said, his voice cracking.

Trust me.

"I did," Takaki said angrily. "I did and what did you do?" You went and slept with someone else!"

Takaki took a swing and burst through the windshield. In his anger he continued to hack through the windshield.

"YOU BASTARD, I HATE YOU!" he screeched pounding wildly at the glass.

The glass shattered and Takaki moved to the back windshield and broke that in his anger. He then sunk to the ground and began to sob.

"Why wasn't I good enough for you?" he whispered. "I gave you everything I had. Why wasn't it enough for you?"

Takaki hugged his knees.

"You're probably not even thinking about me now," he said. "You're probably with him."

He stood up and walked over to the trunk of the car. He opened the duffel bag and took out the spray paint, spraying the word "liar" on the side of the car. He put it back in the bag and then took out a nail, the bottle of paint, and the paint brush. He used the nail to trace a message into the trunk and the black paint to trace over it. He smiled at his handiwork and took his cell phone out of his pocket to take a picture of it. He sent it to Yabu, Hikaru, Daiki, and Inoo. He then got into his car and left.

Two seconds later, he received four text messages in a row.

Yabu: Didn't you go a bit overboard? Just kidding. ^_^.

Hikaru: O_O. I'm glad we let you do this on your own.

Daiki: I love you.

Inoo: Well, it's healthier than throwing him out of the window.

The next morning, Takaki's ex-boyfriend arrived in the parking lot. He saw his car and immediately got angry, wondering what gang destroyed his brand new car.

His anger faltered, however, when he saw the message written on the trunk. A wave of regret washed over him as he read it.

Akanishi Jin,

It's over you asshole. Have a nice life with Kamenashi.

"Love"

Takaki Yuya

"I'm really sorry, Yuya," he said, sighing.

I hope you liked it!
