~Because I Care~
Finally, after two hours, Tegoshi fell asleep curled into a ball in Ryo's lap. Ryo sighed in relief as he felt the younger man's forehead. His temperature had gone down from one hundred and two to ninety-eight point nine and his forehead felt a little cooler.
Ryo smile softly as he stared at Tegoshi. His face was still puffy and his cheeks and nose were still red from all of the sneezing he did. His breathing wasn't as labored as it had been before and his chest greatly rose and fell as he slept. Ryo gently nuzzled his cheek against Tegoshi's and kissed his forehead.
'I'm so glad you're getting better,' he thought. 'You nearly gave me a heart attack.'
Tegoshi let out a soft groan.
"Ryo-tan," he said hoarsely, proceeding to cough afterwards.
"Shh Tego-nyan," Ryo whispered. "I'm still here. Go back to sleep baby."
"You should go home. I don't want you to get sick. I'll be okay by myself."
"I'm not leaving you while you're like this," Ryo replied.
"Are you sure?" Tegoshi asked.
"Positive," Ryo replied reassuringly. "Now go to sleep."
"Thank you Ryo-tan," Tegoshi said, yawning and moving closer to Ryo. "Thank you for taking care of me, even though I must be a burden."
Ryo smiled at him.
"I do it because I care," he said, petting his head. "I'll always do it because I care."
