~Excitement~
Jin smiled as he walked through the halls of the Jimusho. It felt good to be back. He had missed a lot of his friends and his colleagues. Everyone had changed so much since the last time he saw them. Some of the juniors were barely recognizable (man Shintaro had grown!) and a lot of them were new to the Jimusho.
"I'll have to learn their names . . . and fast," Jin thought, smiling and waving kindly at a junior who had bowed to him.
Jin continued down the hallway and soon he saw a blur run past him.
"Hi Akanishi-kun!" exclaimed the blur which Jin recognized as Yaotome Hikaru, still running. "Welcome back!"
"Hi Hika-chan!" Jin said, laughing.
"HIKARU GET BACK HERE WITH MY COOKIES!" yet another blur yelled. "Oomph!"
The second blur hit Jin and soon after hit the floor. Jin looked down and giggled.
"Are you alright?" he asked.
The blur looked up blushing and Jin felt his heartbeat accelerate as he realized it was Yabu.
"I'm fine," Yabu said, standing.
Much to Yabu's surprise Jin pulled him into a hug. He sighed softly and closed his eyes.
"I really missed you, Yabucchi," Jin said releasing him, and Yabu blushed.
"I missed you too, Akanishi-kun," he said.
"You've gotten much taller since the last time I saw you," Jin said. "You're almost the same height as me! And did you dye your hair?"
Yabu nodded.
"I wanted to try something new," he said.
"It's cute," Jin replied and Yabu smiled.
"Thanks," he said beaming.
'He's so cute!' Jin thought.
"Mmm. These chocolate chip cookies are awesome!" Hikaru called from around the corner.
"Excuse me Akanishi-kun, but there's a virgin girl I have to kill!"
"Not funny!" Hikaru exclaimed.
"Go ahead," Jin said smiling as Yabu took off around the corner. As he disappeared, Jin felt a little disappointed.
'Darn you Hika-chan,' he thought. 'Now my nice little chat is over.'
He pouted. And then an idea struck him.
'I can always continue the conversation later . . .' he thought.
And with that he dashed in the direction Yabu went. He smiled as he saw the younger man hadn't gone too far: he was sitting on Hikaru eating his cookies.
"Nicely done," Jin told him, grinning.
"Thanks," Yabu replied through a mouthful of chocolate chips.
"Hey what are you doing later?" Jin asked.
Yabu blinked, his heart skipping a beat.
"Ya-Ya-Yah has a dance practice," he said. "But it's over at 7:00pm. Why?"
'Perfect!' Jin thought happily.
"I wanted to know if you wanna grab a bite to eat," he said.
'Lemme think . . . YES!' Yabu thought.
"That sounds great," he said, calmly.
"Great!" Jin said, smiling. "I'll come get you when your practice is over."
"Okay," Yabu replied.
"See you then," Jin said, continuing to walk down the hall.
"Later," Yabu replied, smiling.
When Jin was out of earshot Yabu jumped off of Hikaru and cheered. Hikaru laughed.
"So you still have a crush on Akanishi-kun huh?" he asked and Yabu blushed.
"Maybe a little," he mumbled.
"Which means 'Yes Hika-chan, I totally still have a crush on Akanishi-kun six months later.'," Hikaru replied grinning.
"Shut up," Yabu muttered, pouting.
Hikaru laughed.
"I just think it's very cute is all," he said.
"It'd be cuter if I knew he liked me back," Yabu replied.
"Well he did ask you out," Hikaru pointed out.
"Akanishi-kun always asks me out," Yabu replied. "He calls it his senpai x kohai relationship dinner. It doesn't mean anything remotely close to a date. For Christ's sake during the last dinner we had he asked me if you and I were going out!"
Hikaru laughed. Yabu glared at him.
"I'm sorry but that's funny," Hikaru said smiling.
Yabu grinned and then sighed.
"Tonight's gonna be nerve wracking," he said.
"Not if you stay calm and refrain from acting like an idiot," Hikaru replied.
"Like I said, tonight's gonna be nerve wracking."

"You look happier than usual," Koki commented as Jin walked into the lounge of the KAT-TUN floor with a huge smile on his face. "You got a date?"
"Yep!" Jin replied.
"With who?"
"Let me give you a hint," Jin said. "He's about 178 centimeters tall, brown hair, brown eyes, and completely adorable!"
"OH MY GOD, PLEASE DON'T TELL ME IT'S YABU!" Kame yelled, running into the room from the bathroom.
Jin blinked.
"How did you know?" he asked.
"Because you've been fanboying that kid since we were little," Kame replied.
Jin laughed.
"That's true," he said.
"Jin," Kame began. "You do realize that Yabu's six years younger than you?"
"Yes," Jin said. "But he's practically legal."
"And you do realize that he's a junior."
"Yes," Jin groaned.
"And you do realize you're his senior?"
"Kame-chan are you gonna make a point here? Or are you just gonna go on and on and on -"
"My point is that there could be extreme consequences if anyone found out!" Kame yelled flailing his arms. "You could both be suspended!"
"Thank you for being so accepting of my new love interest, Kame-chan," Jin replied. "You're oh so supportive of your friend."
Kame sighed.
"If you're really serious about dating Yabu -"
"-I am -"
"-and this isn't another fling -"
"-it's not -"
"-and you truly, truly like him -"
"-is there any other way you can say that?" Jin asked amused, and Kame pouted.
"If you honestly like Yabu," Kame began. "Then I'll be happy for you."
Jin hugged him.
"Thank you Kame-chan," he said.
"I'm so gonna regret this later," Kame muttered, patting Jin's head. Jin laughed.
"I promise you won't!" he exclaimed.
He sat on the couch and smiled.
"I can't wait for seven o'clock!" he said.

When seven o'clock arrived Jin ran to the Ya-Ya-Yah dressing room faster than Speedy Gonzalez. Kame sighed.
"Koki, promise me you'll never date Hikaru."
"I can't do that."
"EEEEHHHH!!!!!"
"Just kidding," Koki replied, laughing at Kame's horrified expression.

"So how was practice?" Jin asked Yabu as the two sat in a Ramen Shop that evening.
"Tiring," Yabu said honestly. "My feet are killing me."
Jin laughed.
"You think you'd be used to that now," he said.
"That's what I thought!" Yabu replied, pouting. "Turns out no matter how long you've been a Johnny, you don't become immune to the hard wooden dance floor."
"Wear two pairs of socks," Jin replied. "It always worked for me."
"I'll try that," Yabu replied. "Thanks, Akanishi-kun."
"You're welcome," Jin replied, silently thinking 'I wish he'd call me Jin'.
The two finished eating and Jin carried Yabu home, the younger man on his back.
"I'm not too heavy, am I Akanishi-kun?" he asked.
"Of course not," Jin replied grinning. "You've barely gained weight since you were fourteen."
"Well thanks," Yabu muttered.
"I didn't mean to offend you," Jin said, giggling.
"I know," Yabu said grinning. "I just hate being skinny."
Jin laughed.
"I'll tell you what. I'll let you in on the secret of Jin's ultimate weight gain plan."
"What is it?" Yabu asked curiously.
"Entenmann's chocolate chip cookies," Jin replied. "I'll bring you a box tomorrow."
"Thanks," Yabu replied grinning.
They reached Yabu's porch steps and Jin put him down.
"Thanks for dinner Akanishi-kun," Yabu said, blushing.
"You're welcome Yabucchi," Jin replied. "We should go out more often."
"I'm not doing anything tomorrow," Yabu replied, hoping he didn't sound too hopeful.
"Great!" Jin exclaimed. "There's a new movie coming out tomorrow. Is 5:30pm a good time for you?"
"5:30pm's perfect," Yabu replied smiling.
"It's a date then," Jin said and, after hesitating for a small moment, placed a soft kiss on his cheek. "Goodnight Yabucchi."
Yabu blushed.
"G-goodnight Akanishi-kun," he said, going into the house.
Jin smiled and walked up the street, looking forward to 'tomorrow'.
