[ooc; I know it's not properly set up yet, but I saw that Hermione'd replied to Luca's post and wasn't entirely sure where else to have this happen, since he told Luca they'd teach him in the Darker than Black post and she ought to know of him by now. Please don't hate me. ;o;]
[ Hermione pauses reading over her own notes, which she's been diligently copying for Professor Snape, and sets them aside with a quill to mark her spot. She stands, walking over to the door and opening it. Seeing Fred, she smiles. ]
Ah, there's a surprise. You're room's cleaner than all the rest.
[Why yes, peeking into her room's the first thing he does before smiling down at her. He has priorities, okay. Hands in his pockets, he leans on the door frame.]
I've a favour to ask of you. It's a rather large one, but I'd be forever in your debt if you'd be so kind to oblige.
Not hardly! Can you imagine me raising a child? [He can't. Not anymore.] Nah, he's living with a mate of his. Six years old and on his own in this city, can you believe it?
[It's terrible. Bringing him here might almost be a good idea if only to keep him company.]
I can, actually... [ She sometimes feels momly feelings, okay. Even at her youngish age. ] He's -- entirely on his own? That poor boy! Anything, Fred - what is it you need help with?
[He can't comment on that first bit. He can't allow himself to think of it. So instead he shifts a little, smiling still.]
I want to teach him how to read. Writing, too. Seems he's gone without this whole time, and I figured who better to go to for book smarts than the gal that practically defines the term?
You'd.. like for me to tutor him. [ She's actually... really touched right now, which he may be able to tell from the smile that spreads over her face. She nods. ] Yes, yes of course. I'd be happy to.
I should think it would be best that we get to know each other a little before I start, since he's just a child... Generally I find children don't take as well to strangers as they do familiar faces.
[ And now she's thinking - ]
Perhaps later this evening, or tomorrow? Then we could start lessons later in the week.

Knew I could count on you, Hermione. [And then a very rare:] Thank you.

Anytime... [ He looks so happy. It makes her feel... happy. ] When do I meet him, then?

Whenever you'd like, I'd imagine. Tot seems just about as excited to learn as you were your first year.

Sounds brilliant. I'll give him a ring and see about meeting up someplace. In the meanwhile, keep an eye out for him on the Network. Name's Luca.
