so i went to rons to record today. we re-did black thoughts, then we did my part of i still love u tho over. and we just about finished regrets. then he had some meeting to go to so i chilled with lesley and becca and sally in the refac. food sucked as usual, but eh. then we went back and i redid my last verse of regrets, then went to open mic

first off, props on gettin onstage. specially knowin what type of crowd you was facin. plus, props on gettin even polite props from them, cus you cats be stingy with their props sometimes.

you just gave me an idea, tho. ma moms told me a while ago how doctors get rid of tape worms. you take a dose of medicine once a month, or once a week, or at somethin like that. when i asked why you have to wait so long inbetween doses, and why you couldnt just down the whole bottle at once, she said cus the tape worm was a livin thing that would respond violently to sudden large doses of the medicine, and that the person would get hurt in the process (the gruesome part is that if you take too much medicine at one time, the tape worm actually gets scared and tries to dig its way out of you). you just gave me the idea of addin the tape worm scenario to the cookies analogy. cus you know, the cookies (or at least the cookies we be servin) dont have as much sugar as say, Chingy's cookies. so maybe we need to treat crowds like tape worms. more specifically the local crowds that you might return to on some type of regular basis. im thinkin this type of strategy could slowly ween them off that glossy shit and tweek their taste buds til they like the more nutritious cookies we been bakin. only question is how to go about this without slippin into the sell-out zone. i guess good judgement would have to come in handy.

lol, talk about a sidenote. anyway, with or without the tape worm addition, the props still remain.

thanks man. i really oughta appreciate polite props more, like u said especially from that kinda crowd.

and u may be right about the tapeworm thing. its like reverse weening, i gotta ween these cats onto real hip-hop. i refuse to write simpler rhymes, or to only give these cats the battle rhymes and not the introspection/abstract/thinkers. the only thing ill do is slow down the rhymes a lil. hopefully they'll catch more words. i cant think of nuthin else to do that aint waterin the music down. ne ideas?
