of people acting like giving up on ur dreams is the mature thing to do.
i just got back from visitin family in cleveland yesterday. i saw my brothers, including damon, the one who mc's. last christmas i did a song wit him. looks like it might be our last. i checked this niggas home-studio out, trash bags of stuff(not trash) everywhere, shit was all dusty. serious signs of non-use. so i asked him if he hung his mic up. he said no, but he put it to the side. cuz he works n shit, comes home tired. i understand that, but the way i see it, if hip-hop was in ya heart, then u'd find time and energy for it. the niggas got other priorities now. sad...he had potential, but its all pretty much lost now. then my mom was talkin bout it, and was like he come home from work too tired to do "frivolous stuff"(i swear she said somethin to that effect.) she was actin like she was proud of him. that shit kills me. this comin from the woman who hates her job, and wishes that she taught high school social studies. shit like that makes me not wanna even talk to them(my parents) about hip-hop.

im goin to see her as soon as i can. i miss that lil nigga. :(
ron met some guy who rhymes. i met dude today, he seems cool but i havent heard him spit yet. ron claims that he "conscious", but im skeptical. just cuz ima skeptical guy, especially when it comes to music. me and ron hung out today, talked to a trini chick we know and walked around campus. theres a bunch of summer programs goin on, lotsa new cats on campus now. ron said he got propositioned by some soon-to-b-freshman chick, "i can chill wit u while u work the front desk then when u finish we can go up to ya room..." fuckin hilarious.
