Out of curiosity, are many of you on Dreamwidth?

[EDIT] Okay, so quite a few of you have accounts over there, even if you don't use them. I've gone down the same route and opened an account there to at least reserve my name. It's here! Please feel free to friend me there :)

I got an account there during the Strikethrough fiasco of 2009, but I'm not actively posting there. Not yet, anyway. My main reasons for staying on LJ are that most of my friends are still here, and that recently, a fair bit of kerfluffle has gone down on Dreamwidth regarding fanfic. Flidget originally pointed me to it, but here's what went down. Given that this person is one of the shareholders of DW, and she's raising such a stink over fanfiction... yeah. I'm still waiting for what develops there.

Whoa, that's a bit crazy...

...but I've given in and opened an account there, just to make sure my name doesn't get taken. Maybe I'll move there eventually, but at the moment I think I'll do what everyone else seems to be doing and just hold their DW account in reserve, just in case...

Oh, opening's a good idea. I'll friend you, if you don't mind. I'm going by my LJ handle over there, too.

I really should make mine look a bit more... presentable at the very least. XD

I've not looked in depth into the situation, but Synecdochic's reaction seems to be fairly measured. There may be a lot more to it than that, but as I don't follow that 'verse, I don't know too much about it.

Syne is one of the co-founders of Dreamwidth.

Ivorygates (to the best of my knowledge) has nothing to do with the running/creation of the site.
