One of those days
This is turning out to be one of those days. Everybody here (other employees & patients) seem to be in a bad mood. I was fine when I got here, and now everyone is pissing me off. Two more hours till they all go home, and then I have three more boring hours to go through, but with peace and quiet.
Bah!
EDIT: OMG! Perfect example! I just had a woman and a man come up to me. The man had just registered for a surgery, and the next step was to see a pre-op nurse. Sometimes that's a pretty good wait, and other days they can get to the patients pretty quickly. So the couple walk up to me, and say
Woman: "Are you the person we're supposed to see?"
Me: "Not exactly, but I will let the pre-op nurse know you are ready.
Woman: "How let will it take her to get to us?"
Me: "That's hard to say, but there's no one waiting in front of you, so it shouldn't be too long.
Woman: "Well can you call her and find out?"
Me: "I've just paged her, she will be out as soon as she can."
Woman: (rolls her eyes and gets even bitchier) Yeah, that's the story we've been getting all day."
Me: "I'm sorry mam, if she's not out to get you in 10 or 15 minutes, I'll call back there and remind her.
Woman: (gives me a Go To Hell look and sits down in a chair maybe 10 steps from my desk)
No lie...the nurse comes out for them 2 minutes (record time actually). My stares could have burned holes through the woman's skull, fucking bitch! She wouldn't look at me. She came up again maybe 5 minutes later needing help using her calling card. I wanted to tell her to kiss my ass! This is just NOT turning out to be a good day....and I was fine when I got here.
