Hello, hello, internet chums!

I have been totally lax on the lj front as of late, with no excuse as to why, especially as i've been overly enthusiastically posting on the book of faces, giving people a brief glimps into the kind of things i read aout on the iterwebs (ie, spamming their feeds with all sorts of mad links).

Still no word from any possible employers, no monies other than a tenner in the bank account, and still no idea of where to go from here, so not much has changed!

I'm still running, gotten up to 9km now, which isn't that bad at all (even if it takes me twice as long as just about anybody else in the world, unless everyone lies on forums, which is something i'm not discounting).

So yes, as of yet no intelligent and beautiful lady millionaire has turned up with a soft spot for scruffy ginger archaeologists. Which really just shows you how badly out of whack the universe really is these days.

I shall put up some links you should check out:

Rock, Paper, Shotgun: My favouritist gaming news web site written with a wonderfully british sense of humour and is generally both entertaining and well informed

The HPPodcraft: Two guys talk about Lovecraft stories, combined with dramatic readings. A real nice podcast that you can stick on in the background and laugh along with. Super good, yes?!

Cthulhu Nation: if you find yourself with some time to kill, why ot check ot this simple browser based MORPG, i only started messing around with it yesterday, it's pretty basic but decent enough fun!

Propnomicon: I'm sure some of you are already familiar with this blog, where all sorts of cthullhu based props are presented for your perusal, i keep thinking that when i've got some cash i might try my hand at aking some cool stuff (but this will probably never happen as ihave plenty of excellent ideas but rarely do anything with them, as i am made of fail!).

Obscurus Crusade: Prefer your proms more frm the grim dark future of never ending war? Check out this board then, where people put up their 4k builds, theres some terrible stuff up there, but also so really awesome costumes!

Protocol 7: Not quite geeky enough for you? Try this on for size! Set in post apocalyptic Britain, prtocal 7 is a Live Action Roleplay with air-soft gus, so not only do you get to make and wear mad-maxian outfits, you can spend an entire weekend running around pretending to be in fallout/land of the dead/Moldavia. They've only had one event so far which seemed to go down real well, and its not all gun-bunny-ing around, there's plenty of character stuff going on too. You can bet your ass that i'll be living out all my zombie holocaust fantasies as i run round with a shotgun, i think the only probably is that my little geek heart might just explode with glee.

The Fortean Times Unconvention: My self and the good Dr. Strain shall be attending this amazing ad awesome event this year. Im sure we'll meet sexy geek girls, who turn out to be aliens, who take us on a tour of the galaxy and reveal ancient mysteries, and in the end it will all turn out to be a government conspiracy and we shall have to run for our live and become sheep-herders in Uzbekistan! Hells Yeah!

I'll leave it at that for now.

So keep calm, and have a cup of tea.
