I emailed my professor as to the level of formality he wanted this paper we are turning in tomorrow. He never responded. Having said that, the following paragraph is in my paper. I wonder what he'll say.

In defense of the external validity of lab research and the internal validity of field study, Anderson's data show considerable consistency between laboratory and field effects. The after-school-special moment of this article is when the researchers conclude that field studies do not lack internal validity. Otherwise, the correlation between theory-oriented lab research and application-oriented field research would not be so high.
