Many things happen this time of year. Typhoons, festivals, celebrations. The seasons are somewhat different in Desai, too; autumn starts later, while back at home people will already beginning to cultivate the lotus flower for harvest. Aiyaaaah, and Chinatown... Japanese festivals are so confusing. Also overcrowded. I think I will just wait two weeks, for 中元節, to honor the dead. I will be making a ceremonial dinner for the Ghost Festival, if anybody else feels like experiencing something truly traditional.

Ah, but this weekend! I almost forget to mention! It was Korea's birthday! Happy birthday, Korea. You are too old for piggy-back rides now.
