"I'M RUNNING THINGS NOW!!!"
August: Osage County officially rocks my world. I had, literally, the worst seat in the house, and I don't think I've ever enjoyed a play more. Un-friggin-believable. Unreal. Brilliant. The set was amazing, the direction was amazing (I met the director afterwards!) and the performances blew me away. Utterly. And I'm SO glad I went today because 5 of the original cast members leave the show after Sunday; including Deanna Dunagan who's nominated for a Tony for the role. And SHE is AMAZING. I was leaving the show and was talking to a guy I randomly met and he knew one of the cast members and totally pulled (literally, grabbed my arm and pulled) me over and introduced me to most of the cast, who were incredibly nice and stood around to talk to me for a good half hour. One of them even walked me to the subway! It was unreal; I was just in awe at the level of talent on (and off) that stage.
Damn. I need a talent transfusion from one of those people! :)
Ok. So who wants to see it again with me?! And if you live out of town, we HAVE to go when you come visit me. It's a new rule.
