Day 15/20 - Beijing
As the days I type there get closer to 20, I get happier inside because I know I'm one day closer to going home. I miss home so much it's not even funny. Having being in such cold places for the past 15 days, I really must say, winter isn't as fun as it seems. When you're in Singapore, you just want to have winter because it's so damn hot. But when you're really in a winter country, it's so different. The first few days were quite alright, but after that it starts to get annoying to have to put on so many layers of clothes everyday, slap on so much moisturizer you could pass off as a whole bottle of it cos you reek of the smell, and having to bear with the horribly cold winds (here in Beijing) and the cold weather that causes your skin to feel like a crocodile's. I am getting increasingly annoyed with the weather and I really really can't wait to get my ass back home in sunny Singapore where the weather is perfect, albeit hot. I really do not enjoy having to wear like 3 layers of clothes and then wear my winter jacket. Bottom line, I don't like winter so much after all. Winter is pretty, with snow and all, but having to bear with this kind of weather for 20 days is horrible, I promise.
Anyway, I just got burnt by the stupid iron and it hurts so much now I want to die. The skin is starting to come off omg I want to die. It's gonna leave a scar. :'(
Side tracking a little, we had our first home-cooked meal today in like 15 days. So good, I swear. I miss home-cooked food so much. We went grocery shopping and we spent so much HAHA it was crazy the amount we spent on food and stuff. After that I went christmas shopping with my dad's secretary and my sis because they're having a christmas party on Friday night and they needed to get gifts for the kids. We're actually part of the kids group and we're not exactly supposed to know about the gifts but HAHA it's alright. :> Now we're gonna get 4 bottles of Lindt chocolate awesome. :>
Okay relatively long post today. Pictures are desperately needed to liven up this place but too bad Photobucket is still being a bitch. Hang in there you guys, 5 more days and I'll picspam this place to death.
