Fic #27: Normalcy
Request: Touch the Sky, Liam/Nicky, prompt: either right before or right after having sex

Notes: We decided to do ‘right after’, because we had no idea what they might say right beforehand. Also, the awkwardness of figuring out when the drabble would be over. So instead we did this, which is really rather, er, boring? Because sex is such a commonplace thing for them. Sorry. ^^;;
Liam reached over and smoothed Nicky’s hair. “How was that?” he asked, a question of almost clinical interest, asking not because his ego needed boosting, but because he honestly wanted an answer.
Nicky lifted one hand and gave him a thumbs-up, with a rather distinctly dorky look on his face.
Liam let out a snort. “I’ll take that as a compliment. It’s not often I see you speechless.”
“I can’t think of anything but monosyllabic words to describe this,” Nicky told him.
“Hey, I’ll take monosyllabic words.” Liam poked Nicky in the ribs.
Nicky twitched, trying to suppressed the automatic reaction to being tickled. “Damned good. . . . ohhhh, that first one was sort of two syllables. See? So good I can’t count.”
Liam decided not to bring up the debate of whether ‘damned’ was one syllable or two depending on pronunciation. He had something much more important he wanted to debate. “Did you just ‘oooooh’?”
“No. I ‘ohhhed’. It’s different.”
“Different how?” Liam asked, poking him in the ribs again.
Nicky squirmed. “One is a pleased noise of anticipation, the other is a sigh of satisfaction.”
“I see.”
Nicky rolled over and flopped onto Liam as if the older man was a giant pillow. “So what now?”
“I dunno. What do you want to do tomorrow?”
“Movie?”
“All day? Better be a good movie.”
“Well, it was a start,” Nicky said, poking him back. Liam didn’t flinch, which led to Nicky pouting. “Suggestions?”
“Sleep. Sleep is my suggestion.”
“What about eating?”
“Yeah, we can do that too. What do you think normal people talk about after sex?”
“Sappy stuff?” Nicky suggested. “Like, hearts and flowers?”
Liam considered this. “I’ll pass on that, then.”
“Good, because I don’t know how.”
