The lilt and tip of the tone is all wrong, he turns, the flash a scarlet smile and black gleeful eyes fills his gaze like the ocean, it's only for a second; a terror that fills his gut like the cold rain before the rage clicks.
The hiss and smell of crisp chemicals that scolds his throat in one breath crumples his legs from underneath him and his eyes swim with jagged laughter and a smile split wide, carcass crimson and rotting.
