The Pumpkins concert was amazing. All kinds of awesomeness. And I was really happy to have earplugs as well - the Fillmore is a super small venue and the Pumpkins sound just filled the place until it was going to bust at the seams.
Spinning is going well. I've finished my first two skeins and I even made an attempt at
Navajo Plying with my small remaining amount of singles, however it was not that successful - very uneven. I haven't taken any photos of the yarn yet, or any photos of my knitting conquests quite frankly because I haven't seen the sun in our neighborhood in at least a week! I have been really tempted to bring all the items I would like to photograph to work with me because it's sunny down here and there is even some lovely foliage around that I can photograph in "
Harlot Style". Of course with no computer at home uploading photos to teh intarwebs will be a bit difficult.
Yes that's right, our computer died. Jeff spent a couple hours trying to replace the motherboard but unfortunately, the motherboard he ordered must have been faulty because it wouldn't start up. He was even desperate enough to ask me for help! So we came to the agreement that the hours spent picking out parts, ordering them and assembling them into something that resembled a computer was not worth the savings. At this point in our lives we should be able to purchase a real-life, honest to goodness, pre-assembled, store-bought computer. Plus this means we can get a laptop, finally and excuse to actually use the wireless router! So today Jeff went online and ordered us a shiny new Dell laptop with a nice 3-year in-home service plan to go along with it. (Do you think I've used enough hyphens in the last couple of sentences?) So when it comes in, I might actually be able to post some photos that haven't already been uploaded to my photobucket or flickr accounts.
So for now, it will be photoless posts from the work computer, because not only are we forbidden from ever connecting a non-approved external device to our laptops, but there is also no decent photo editing software installed on it.
