An impromptu techie baby shower

By which I mean: We had a gathering and I brought baby gifts.

Baby Techie's First Black Hoodie

When Baby Cyclorama goes to work with Mom, little Cyc will need to dress appropriately backstage.

It is nearly impossible, however, to find black cargo pants in baby sizes. So khaki will have to do:

In the first picture you may have seen baby socks in the bottom righthand corner.

To answer mousecatfish's question about getting the toes and heels to match in color: I knit both socks at the same time with magic loop and I made the slip knots to start my cast on when one color in the yarn changed to another, and let the self striping take over from there.

And finally, here is what I dubbed The Gel Frame Blanket:

Aaand, blurry with Mom To Be:

Dad To Be, who couldn't make it to our gathering, is a Master Electrician. So. Gel Frames.

Mom To Be is the most nonchalant pregnant woman I've ever met. They don't know the baby's gender and she says she doesn't even really notice she's pregnant until she tries to zip up a pair of pants. Nearing the beginning of her third trimester, I'm certainly very impressed.

The gathering was a delightful reunion for us, since our company of employ closed last year and we haven't had occasion, planning, or the time to get together. Sadly, our next reunion would come just a couple weeks later at the memorial gathering for friend and coworker who passed away unexpectedly in his sleep.

As long as we're huddled together we can pretend that AMT is still around.

Standing by for Shift 18A.

TO THE COMET!
