Because I keep scoring the most awesome pals ever. Behold:
My package from The Office Swap!
A 2009 kitty calendar worthy of Angela's desk, a smooshy trophy, World's Best Boss coffee mug, a party glass with a really cool skull image in the base, a Dwight stress head (smoosh!), a plastic bat ("It has feelings and a family!"), a striped tin with KitKat bars (nom), and Berroco Ultra Alpaca 50% alpaca/50% wool in no other color than "Beet Root"!
Michael Scott post-it notes (I looove post-it notes), Office cast spiral notebook, Dwight magnetic message pad, Office pencils, aaaand, a blank book with EMILY THE STRANGE!!! I haven't seen Emily the Strange stuff in years and I had no idea they still made the stuff. True story: In college a friend of mine (Amber, who has since passed on to the clearing at the end of the path) told me once, "Emily, you're so weird," in the same tone she might use to say, "You have brown eyes." I was genuinely flattered and took her compliment thusly.
A notebook! With a graphic of "
Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica." on the front and filled (filled!) with knitting patterns, quotes from my favorite episode of The Office ("Poop was raining from the ceilings! POOP!"), and RECIPES FOR BEETS! For real! Beet recipes! I'm so touched!
Aaand, a "Dunder Mifflin, This Is Pam" marker board!
And last but not least, a beautiful crocheted scarf out of what I think is the same Ultra Alpaca yarn. It's a 50/50 blend of alpaca and wool and the softness of the alpaca really brings down the itch of the wool against my skin. And in such a lovely color, too.
I am a lucky girl. (Yes, that's my Koolhaas atop my head...it's cold in here.)
(And to prove my point, I've already signed up Banjo for the Annual
petbulls Bully Breed Christmas Swap.)
