While I was on the East Coast, I finally completed the body of
Bret. It's huge. I really hope the yarn shrinks up alot when I wash it. I think it's only supposed to shrink in length, but it could definitely use some shrinkage in width as well.
Anyway, tonight I cast on for the first sleeve, and it's turning out to be pretty huge, too. I like my sweaters baggy and all, but I think this is just silly.
The sizing is the least of my worries at this point in the process, though. I had heard rumors of this yarn doing this, but I had not fallen victim to it, myself. Here, I'll let you see for yourselves:
No, I am not knitting so hard that I'm bruising my fingers. (Although, wouldn't that make a great story?) The damn dye of the yarn is wearing off on my skin. It even wore off on the bamboo size 7 circs I was working on until I remembered I have the same size needles in Addi Turbos, which would help me get this project finished sometime this year.
This is what I got done this evening, to the tune of the second disc of The Office, Season 2. I'd have gotten more done if the first 6" weren't K1, P1 ribbing. So it's all downhill from here. Until I have to start knitting the second sleeve.
