Final destination for move is Albuquerque New Mexico, where they have one 5 high interchange, but paint it with a fetching turquoise stripe. They also have decorative images in their highway barriers, and on some utility boxes.
The company out there made Dan a very good offer, and everyone there really seemed to enjoy their work. Also the company there courted both of us (paid for both of us to go there, added extra days to the hotel & rental car, etc) which I think is a good sign for work-life balance, and have flexible work hours and flexible in general. They also have a baby office in the No. VA area, so there is a chance of relocating back to a lush green, overly developed, environment somewhere in the future. The job begins Oct. 1, so moving will re-commence mid/late September.
I'm trying to plan to see people before leaving, but am bad at planning (and calling, and emailing, and...contacting in general) so if there are good times/bad times for people it would be helpful if you'd let me know here otherwise I'll be trying to call when we get back from wedding reception (in Blacksburg, on move in weekend....eeep)
