Hey y'all,

When we say "don't stir up shit in other communities", we mean don't stir up shit in other communities. When shit stirring happens, there's generally a spike in membership requests here (yesterday, up 700% from each day the previous week or two) and then one of us mods has to track things down and ban people. Also, if you're going to ( Read more... )

Is it just me or does the one person not understand what a cargo cult is? Or am I just not comprehending that comment?

I'm with you on that one. What does she/he even mean by "cargo cult bitchiness?"

I really don't know. This is Wikipedia's definition of a Cargo Cult, and I can't for the life of me figure how it can be related to bitchiness.

I can't either! I googled for more definitions and they all agree with Wikipedia.

Maybe LSG is deifying yarn and k_s is the evil Western culture and LSG is the tribal society? Or have I got that backwards? :o)

I'm still trying to find the bitchiness itself; I haven't even gotten to the cargo cult aspect. All I see is the unimaginative swearing and scheming high schoolers employ to seem tougher than they are. And that's sad. 'Cuz if you're going to embrace bitchiness, you've really got to use more than name-calling. You've got to make 'em feel it in their soul.

Quite possibly! Although "twatweasel" does have a certain...flair.

I (somewhat grudgingly) agree, although I prefer "weasel piss" when combining weasels into some good curse words.

"Twatwaffle" still has me somewhat confused (are we talking "in the shape of" or "created by using"?).

I have to admit, I did spend some time in IM last night with someone making up various epithets involving twat and cunt. I think my favorite was "cuntwhistle".

This was the kick in the ass I needed to finally leave that group. I never read it much, because half the posts were GABYAW, but there was the occasional funny thread.

But, really, way to turn a disagreement between two people into an all-out drama extravaganza.
