ADMIN: Banination

Sep 17, 2005 17:08

I just had to ban someone from this community for violating community guidelines.

From the userinfo:A snark in this community is not ever to be taken as an invitation to go and troll in comments on the post or the journal of the user snarked about.
I am serious.  Don't do it.  You will be banned.

how to get banned, admin

Bha! But you're not telling us who it was or providing links so we can point and laugh at the troll who managed to get banned (as long as we keep it withint the community of course). Surely that sort of trolling would be highly snark worthy :P It is a snark community after all.

On a serious note. You might want to think about unlocking this post - making it public.

I'm not going into the whole snark communities thread a fine line argument again. But having posts like this public, could send a good message to those that would happen to stumble across the community and don't really have much of a clue of what this snarking thing is about. Or rather what it is not about.

Excellent idea, bouncing cat-with-chicken icon person. ;)

Oh and I've just realised that there's a word (or lots) missing in that sentance.
A snark in this community is not ever to be taken as an invitation to go and troll in comments on the post or the journal of user snarked about.

Oh and I missed a word in the revision, there's a missing 'the' :P One day I will get it right the first time, or even the second time.

Is it wearing a kitty hat that keeps flying off?

Oh yes, so it is! I'd just never thought of kobolds wearing horned helmets before.

I sort of imagined them in fairly crude leather ones.
