As natalieann said in the last admin post, if people couldn’t play nice we were going to do a massive weeding of membership. Sadly, people cannot play nice, so many of you are no longer members. We removed everyone who joined in the past two months, along with anyone we didn’t recognize as one who contributes to the community. There is now a membership

Wow. This is really disappointing that some people ruined it for those of us who are new but still contribute to the snark. I hope that this gets sorted out soon because I look forward to reading this community.

Well, when the reapp process is ready, i'll be waiting. Hope this fixes it.

Yes, it is unfortunate. I've been a member since December 2005 and also was removed because I don't contribute posts to the community. Ah well.

In the same boat here (Also joined in 2005) - but I understand the need to try to keep things "clean", so I guess we'll have to be patient and then start trying to comment more when (if?) we get back in! :)

It's upsetting that so few people can ruin it for others, but as someone who reads but doesn't contribute I understand wholeheartedly why I was pulled from the members list. I'll just have to wait to reapply.

Same here. A good number of people didn't contribute too many posts, but neither did they contribute to whatever trolling has been going on. I rather liked the days of the bannination announcement with links showing actual evidence of the misconduct in question.

wordcakes. I actually used this community to screen knitting because it was too damn big to leave on my friends page.
