My brown thumb finally grew something, but it wasn't what I intended to grow.
Tonight, I got dinner with Todd. Before I left the apartment, I decided to pack my basil and what I thought was a black eyed susan into my car.
As I was carrying the pots to the backyard, the 'black eyed susan' showed it's true identity; it lashed out and stung me!
I've been cultivating a fucking STINGING NETTLE!!!!
For fucks sake!
Everything else in that pot died except this one little trooper of a plant. I thought the damned thing was something I planted, but it turns out that it was something that accidentally came in the potting soil that I used.
WEirD!!!
Oh, and to make matters even worse: Stinging Nettle Leaves don't look anything like Black Eyed Susan leaves:
