Blackberry and it's for my somebody who's a bigger size than me. I'm not used to making bigger sizes or anything and I'm knitting the XL size. I just realized her arm circumference was probably a lot bigger than the one in the pattern and was wondering if anybody could give me hints on what I should do to get a bigger

You can do the gauge math to figure out how wide the widest part of the sleeve needs to be and put more purl stitches on each side of the central cable. For the sleeve cap, you want to keep the number of rows the same in order to keep the raglan seam matching. If you jsut do the decreases written in the pattern, the top of the sleeve will be fairly wide where it hits the neck, which might not actually be a problem: you'd just need to pick up more stitches for the ribbed band. Or if that's like to be much too wide, you could decrease every row instead of every other row (or two rows out of three, again you'd need to do the math to figure out how many extra decreases you need.
If her arm is wide all the way up, you'll want to cast on the extra stitches at the cuff end and do the increases as written. If her arm starts out thinner and gets wide above the elbow, you want to start with the usual number of stitches, and have increases closer together -- again you probably want to keep the same number of rows.
