A baby kimono and a scarf

My aunt's friend is expecting her first baby, and my mom and I were asked to make a few gifts my aunt could give her. My mom chose a blanket, and I chose a baby kimono and I am waffling between baby booties and baby socks, and maybe a hat (I have plenty of yarn left over from the sweater).

Modeled on the evil baby doll from hell.

Pattern: Little Luxury Kimono from Lionbrand's site.
Needles: Size 8 Knitpicks Options
Yarn: Lionbrand Babysoft in Lavendar. Very much less than one full skein, there is at least half left.
Notes: I changed the rolled edges to seed stitch, since I don't like rolled edges. I need to figure out what to do about the ties though, like where to place them.

Next up we have the Multidirectional Scarf, done in Noro Silk Garden. I love Noro, I really do, I think their colors are stunning. But I picked out about a ton of pricker bush bits and other plant fibers from those two little skeins! Even Kureyon wasn't that bad. Still, I think it looks gorgeous.

I knit right up to the end of the second skein, and it's just long enough.

Pattern: Multidirectional Scarf (http://douma.net/Karen/knitting/Accessory-Scarves/Multidirectional_Diagonal_Scarf.htm)

Yarn: Noro Silk Garden, color 225, 2 skeins.

I also blabber about these projects on my blog, if you're interested: http://knittycrafter.blogspot.com/
