And you didn't find it showed through too much on the "right" side? Someone recommended to me once that I should knit the heel and then use a needle to thread the reinforcing thread through the backs of each row... that seemed like too much work to me, though.
I envy that you can do socks :) I'm on my first pair (Jaywalkers), but this would be my second attempt at a sock... I don't have SS Syndrome, I have FS Syndrome (first sock syndrome). :)
But this comment is mainly to say that your clapotis is GORGEOUS, and hee! to your equation square.
Math: often done alone Physics: Even simple experiments are often done by at least two people, and really interesting ones require larger groups
==> Feynman was right :)
And an equation bag would be pretty awesome. I'm pondering design ideas. You could even stitch in a derivation of some kind...
The Silk Garden was really great. I liked it a lot. The colors were pretty smooth, and went in the same order in each skein, except for one which ended differently. You can see it in the first Clapotis picture in this post, where at one point it goes pink-grey-pink-grey-yellow instead of pink-grey-yellow.

How did you add the reinforcing thread to your sock heel?

I just picked it up at the begining of the heel and knit it along with the yarn. And dropped it once the heel was done.

So much love for your Maxwell's patch! Wouldn't it be cool to have a knitted bag covered in science and math equations?
Also, the Clapotis... how is it to work with Silk Garden? Did you have any color continuity issues?

Bwahahahah!
I dread to think what Engineering is then? Messier and requires large tools ====> Pr0n?
The Silk Garden Clapotis is really, really nice. I've been wanting to try Noro for ages, and I think I might follow your example there.
