i just googled "super mario 3 sprites" and that'll bring you to websites that have images of super mario characters in every possible pose. people use these images when making comic strips (geeks). i blew these up by just zooming in and then taking a screenshot of it, so it's all pixelated. i drew a grid on top and then voila! instant chart. so i just did 1 stitch = 1 pixel. the characters turned out a bit smushed but after blocking they were more proportional.
