I've just finished making a mini-cardigan sweater (FO pictures to come when I buy a digital camera this weekend) in Pattons Grace, which is 100% mercerized cotton.
Anyway, I was really enjoying the knitting and then I came across a few sections of about three yards where the yarn was twisted MUCH tighter than the rest of the ball. So much so that visually it looked completley different once knit. I couldn't get it to loosen up by trying to untwist it and had to cut the yarn, remove the offending section, and then weave in even more ends when I was done. (weaving in ends is my least favorite part of knitting, so I was really miffed about this)
Has anyone else had this problem? It occured on 3 of the 4 balls I used, and makes me almost not want to use the other three balls of it I've got lying around the house. Other than this issue I really like the look and feel of it, so I'm hoping it's just this lot or something.
