just wanted to tell everyone that joann's is having a crazy sale on yarn right now-- 50% off already clearanced yarn!!!!! this includes the ever popular "cotton ease" and my store had a pretty good selection of colors. also lots of TLC ( i got some orange "wiggle"), and tons and tons of "baby aghan" suitable stuff ( Read more... )

Enabler!!!

Yeah, so I went down at lunch and scooped up all the blueberry cotton ease, prolly enough to do a tank or something. $40 dollars, and 3 pairs or socks, a baby blanket, a couple tanks, and a baby sweater later, I escaped (oh, and buttons for Sonnet, and some Lion DPNs that are purple). I am so not supposed to be buying more yarn...good thing the delightful man hasn't seen my stash yet. He won't know it's bigger by a box now...

teehee :) i stashed two large sacks full of stuff in my office closet. but i did TELL the husband, and he said "good yarn score honey" what a guy!

well, he's not husband (yet) and we aren't moving in together until the end of the month...so I decided not to mention my score. I'm already knitting with it, though (working on a baby blanket. I really like the TLC Soft)

I didn't, only because they didn't have that many. I almost bought this last weekend, before the sale. Soooo glad I resisted then! 4 skeins Popsicle (turquoise sorta blue), 1 skein candy blue, 8 of blueberry. They did have the yellow and orange, but I wasn't much drawn to them.

But seriously, at $1.50 a skein, how could you not??? Everything else I bought was $1.00 a skein - TLC Baby (Big Bad Baby Blanket), TLC Soft (Haiku) and Bernat Denim (because it makes cushy socks a guy will wear).

because its a sale! I just ordered like 20 off ebay. and then went and bought probably 15 more.
obviously that makes sense...right?

Guess I'll be hitting my JoAnn's right after I go buy catfood for the felines. I was just thinking about getting some soft fluffy yarn for kitty blankets too...
