New member introduction
Hi. I'm a knitter--almost entirely socks at this time--taking a look at knitting interest groups on LJ. You can see pictures of my latest completed project (finished July 31, 2015) in my own journal. I returned to knitting after about a 40 year gap in 2011, and started making socks for the first time in 2012. I started knitting again as physical therapy for hand pain resulting from many hours/day pounding a keyboard, thinking the different hand position and motions would help. I switch back and forth between writing and knitting--changing whenever one becomes uncomfortable. Vision problems have limited my knitting to size 4 US, 3.50 mm needles and larger, as I can't see the stitches well enough to fix mistakes in more fine-grained work. I'm on Ravelry as EMoonTx.
My posts here would be about my own projects (and you might get tired of endless socks. My feet don't, though!) and comments relating to someone's questions or compliments on projects I admire. As I get enough contention in other parts of life, I prefer laid-back, low-key special interest groups. Most moderated groups are.
I look forward to more knitters to talk with about knitting techniques, yarn, knitting books, etc.
