Hi there! Because I am a complete and utter glutton for punishment (and possibly an idiot), I've started
this shawl (Ravelry link)
here (non-Ravelry), using an absolutely gorgeous 2-ply lace superwash merino yarn. (And now I've frogged it and restarted, because I was using the wrong size needles entirely, but on the plus side I was getting the hang of the pattern! :P)
Annnnnd I need advice. I'm using KnitPro interchangeables, which I normally love, but I can tell already I'm going to need pointier lace needles. Does anybody have recommendations for their favourite lace needles, preferably interchangeable or really long fixed circulars (4 or 4.5mm)? Recommendations for brands to avoid, even? I think I'm going to be working on this for a loooooong time, and I'll go insane in short order if I have to struggle to get the SSK stitches done the way I have been. (Slightly too blunt needle = really hard to reinsert the left needle in the two slipped stitches; I'm swearing and coaxing the yarn into place with fingernails and... yeah. It's not gonna fly. :P)
[Edited because I fail at linkage]
[Edited again: Ye gods you're fast! XD It seems to be unanimous for Addi, and thanks to Lindapendant if I can't find someone selling them here - for a capital city we're annoyingly light on craft supplies - I've found 'em on eBay already. Thanks all!]
