cardigans for men.

Hi everyone! I really want to make a cardigan for my dad (since the only thing I've ever made him was an extremely last minute day before Christmas simple ribbed hat and I had made my mom a sweater that I finished months in advance), but I can't find any patterns that really just stick out to me and that I could totally picture my dad wearing. I really want it to be something with cables. Anyone have any suggestions of awesome cardigans for men?

I am kind of tempted of trying and designing one for him, but I have no idea on how the sizing for a men's cardigan would work, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
