My guess would be it depends on the knitter. If you knit tightly, you use less yarn and 1 skein of each colour might be enough. If you knit loosely, you might be able to save some yarn by taking needle one size smaller than indicated...
Lol. Yes. Funny, I was so busy asking the two-skein buyer how much she had left of the seconds skeins when she finished that I neglected to see if any of the one-skeiners had used Cascade. I see that they have. I suppose that I'm still a little wary: like, maybe they didn't update the yarn usage with the accurate numbers of skeins after they realised that 1 of each wasn't enough; or maybe they didn't amend the notes to say that they had to make the hexagons slightly smaller to accommodate the lack of complete yardage; or...
Is it acceptable in Ravelry to send a direct question? Like, leave it in the "comments" section of the project? I always wondered, but never dared to actually post a question, and didn't know where to read up on Ravelry-etiquette...
Totally acceptable! :) I have written a personal message and a comment for the 2-skeiner, but she obviously has a life and isn't necessarily on the computer all the time (like I seem to be!!!).
People on Ravelry all seem to be so nice; I don't think snarky hit there just yet! :)
I phoned Webs, who happened to have the designer right there (How cool is that?!) and she said that she used virtually all of the 247 yards, so I think I might have to buy two of each.
Some people indicated using 2 skeins of each colour, some listed 8 skeins in all, some had a mixed bag.
