Wrap and turn?

Jan 23, 2011 15:02

So, I've started this hat, and it involves a new thing for me, wrapping and turning. The wrapping and turning is easy, figuring out which stitch to do it to is not. This is from the pattern:

Row 2 (WS): k to 2 sts from end, w+t.
Row 3: k to end.
Row 4: k to 1 st from gap, w+t.

so on row 4, would that be the 3rd stich from the end, or the 4th?

Also, in this next part. When it says there are 5 wrapped stitches ar the outer edge, do I count the bolded stitches in that 5?

Rep last 2 rows 1[2, 3] times.
There are 3[4, 5] wrapped stitches at inner, narrower edge.
Row 7[9, 11]: k to 4 sts from end, w+t.
Row 8[10, 12]: k to 1 st from gap, w+t.
Rep last row 8 times.
There are 8[9, 10] wrapped stitches at inner edge and 5 at outer, wider edge. The outer edge will form part of the band of the hat.
