S.E.X. (Stash Enhancement eXpeditions)

Friday, Charity came down to hang out and knit. We went to Simpatico Yarns, her second time at a real yarn shop, first since she began to knit obsessively. We spent probably an hour or so in there, but as many of you know from experience, time loses all meaning in the presence of yarn. She got a lovely hank of Berroco Peruvia and I got a skein of Trekking for yet another pair of socks.

Today, the Knitting Nook was having a second anniversary sale, and since Kristina just moved nearby, what better time to corrupt, I mean, show her around? There were free gifts for the first 50 people (yes, we got there early enough to avoid the stampede), door prizes (we got raffle tickets and they'll list the winners of their website soon), and of course yarn on sale. Kristina got a gorgeous ball of Berroco Foliage and I got two skeins of Lang Jawoll (enough for a pair of socks) and two skeins of TOFUtsies (enough for two pairs).

But no worries on the yarn diet front; as we all know, sock yarn doesn't count (no yarn calories), and obviously free yarn doesn't count either.
