(Veritable sigh of relief)
EXAMS ARE OVER!
Well they've been done for a few days & today is day # 3 of Christmas Holiday rest and relaxation.
On the night of my first day off I held a Christmas Knit Nite at my place for all my
bitchybees friends! Holiday parties and gatherings always get me in the festive mood, & I am glad it happened on the first night, since it prompted me to clean up the house {study had exploded in my living room, dining room, and kitchen}. Now, since knitters are all around fabulous people who pretty much tidy up after themselves, my house is nice and lovely clean, and I can enjoy the holidays without worrying about having to clean the house!
Last night I baked some holiday cookies that I dreamed up during the exam cram. Literally, I had a dream one night about inventing and making these cookies... and they turned out really well in real life too! I will post the recipe after I gift them so I don't spoil the surprise!
Also during exams I managed to knit myself some cozy socks.
Yes I realize that I said "myself", when in fact it should technically be gift knitting since it's so close to Christmas. But this year the knitting altruism isn't going to go very far... so far I've completed these socks, a sweater, and am working on some gloves all for *myself*! Merry Christmas to Me!! Don't look at me like that! I realize my ways may seem a *tad* greedy when it is the season for giving, but... but...
I am sewing gifts this year mostly, or baking them, the knitting is my last refuge, and after that semester of stressiness I NEED MY KNITTING! Don't hate me because I'm a grinchy knitter.
Oh I also need to let you all know!!! Much to my surprise, as I had some minor melt downs prior to exams, I ended up with an A+ in bio, chem, and biological anth, and an A- in precalculus which is pretty frakkin awesome! That Precalc class apparently has a 60% failure rate! Less than half the original class actually made it to the final exam!
I'll post the photo of my sweater soon! I just haven't gotten Jeff to take some yet!
I hope you are all having a lovely Christmas season, and knitting lots :-)
